Abstract Submission Rules
  • Abstracts should be sent by 24:00 (Turkish Time Zone GMT +3) on 5 July 2024 at midnight. Abstracts will be sent to the Scientific Evaluation Board Members and passed through a closed evaluation process. All authors whose abstracts are accepted will be notified.
  • The abstract should not exceed 300 words.
  • The title of the paper should fully reflect the content of the study.
  • The name-surname, title, institution, city and contact addresses of the authors of the paper should be specified.
  • The abstract should not contain any information that prevents confidential evaluation, allows the authors of the papers to be identified, or indicates the institutions they work for.
  • Except for case reports, abstracts should include purpose, materials and methods, findings and conclusion sections.
  • Each participant can apply as a presenter with a maximum of 2 papers (1 oral {oral or show and tell}, 1 poster or 2 posters).
  • Accepted papers will be marked in the system and each user will be able to follow the results of the papers in their account through the system.
  • If the abstract is accepted, the author who is planned to present the abstract must be registered for the congress. Payments of those who registered early and whose abstract results are not accepted will be refunded without interruption.
  • Non-Turkish participants should upload English version of their abstract to both English and Turkish upload section in the DigiAbstract system to complete submission.
Preparation of abstract and spelling rules
  • Language: Non-Turkish applicants should prepare abstracts in English and pay attention to spelling rules. Authors are responsible for all spelling errors.
  • Title: The title must be written in all capital letters.
  • Abstract Text: The abstract text should not exceed 300 words in total, excluding keywords. The summary should include the following sections:
    • Objectives: Why the study is carried out and its objectives should be clearly stated.
    • Materials and Methods: The method, materials used, and the type and number of subjects included in the study should be stated.
    • Results: Significant findings should be stated together with statistical results.
    • Conclusions: The conclusions should be stated according to the findings of the study.
    • Keywords: At least 3 keywords should be determined.
  • Abstract Subject: It should be stated which of the headings on the "Main Topics" page the abstract belongs to. This is important both for directing the referees and for deciding in which session the paper will appear.
Oral Abstract Presentation Rules
  • Time limit for each presentation: 8 minutes maximum, followed by Q&A.
  • In order for the program to continue without interruption, maximum attention must be paid to the presentation time.
Poster Abstract Presentation Rules
  • Posters will be prepared and presented digitally. Poster dimensions should be 70 cm (width) x 100 cm (height) (vertical) and should be prepared as a power point and converted to pdf format.
  • Posters will be exhibited as e-posters in the area determined by the organization committee.
  • The name of the author who will present the poster should be underlined.
  • The researcher who will present must be at the poster on the day and time of the presentation.
Show and Tell Presentation Rules
  • This new oral presentation aims to explain briefly a specific orthodontic development, technique or procedure to the audience, or describe a modification of an existing technique or appliance.
  • The duration of the presentation is 4 minutes.

To the attention of researchers who are candidates for the award:
  • Participants who want to be candidates for awards must specify the award they are applying for when choosing the presentation type in the Digiabstract Management system. In addition, in the last step of submitting a paper, after clicking the "Send to Scientific Board" button, they must click the "Paper List" button and add the full text in PDF format by using the "Full Text Upload" button in the actions column next to your relevant abstract.
  • For the “Orhan Okyay Oral Presentation Award” and “Research Poster Award”, the full text must be prepared not to exceed 10 pages and must be in PDF format. For details, please visit the Awards page.
  • For the “Ayhan Enacar Case Presentation Award” and “Clinical Poster Award”, the 5-slide power point presentation must be converted to PDF format and uploaded accordingly. Please visit the Awards page to download the power point presentation template and for other details.
  • Candidates who want to apply for the award should review the application conditions under the "Awards" page.
  • An abstract cannot be nominated for more than one award.
